Frequently asked questions

• Driving licence. You must have a valid driving licence that allows you to drive 4-wheeled vehicles up to 3500Ks. or what is the equivalent of the B1, the driving licence for cars.
• Driving experience. Have more than 2 years of driving licence.
• Credit card. Have a credit card in your name, valid and valid in Spain and European banks. In general Visa and Mastercard.

All vans and cars have a copy of the documentation, so it can be calculated very easily.

In the technical sheet we have the data of the Maximum Authorised Mass (MMA) and the Tare, and we calculate it in the following way:

Permitted load weight = Maximum Authorised Mass – Tare weight

So a van with a MMA of 3500Kgs and a Tare of 1500 Kgs, will allow us to legally load 2000Kgs. But remember that we have to count the people we are carrying as cargo. So if we carry 2 people of 75 Kg, we have to subtract 150Kg to the maximum load that we can carry, so it would be about 1850Kg of weight that we could load in the van.

It is very important to emphasise that the load must always be secured so that it does not slip during transport. It is also vitally important that the load is balanced and centred as indicated by current road regulations.

For insurance and scope of service reasons, it is forbidden to leave the island of Mallorca in any of our vehicles.

Both cars and vans can be collected from our offices in Palma de Mallorca or Santa Maria del Camí free of charge.

We have a home delivery service that you can hire from the reservation in the vicinity of our offices, but if you want us to take it to other areas of the island or out of hours, we can give you the service for a fair price. Ask our operators and we will give you a solution.

When the client hires the delivery service at the airport, we wait for you at the exit of the airport, in the section agreed after making the reservation and we wait for you with your car and the contract ready. The car is simply checked and delivered. You don’t have to wait for a minibus and then queue at another office. We are fast and efficient. If you provide us with your flight number we can track the details of your flight in case of delays.

At Multiauto, if you take out the Multiprotección insurance, you do not have to leave any deposit.
Remember that we offer two types of insurance, one with excess, in which you do have to leave the excess deposit depending on the type of vehicle. Always specified in the contract.

In our contracts you have a mobile phone, available 24 hours a day for any emergency service and to solve any unforeseen event that immobilizes the car.
